City Colleges of Chicago, (Olive-Harvey College & Wilbur Wright College)

  • The majority of full-time students are recent high school graduates; however, many adults also attend classes. Students who successfully complete the university transfer degree program (Associate in Arts, Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Sciences) will find it easy to transfer two full years of courses and credits to complete a four-year degree.   English as a Second Language (ESL) courses help students master the English language while Adult Education courses prepare students to pass the GED examination

Triton College

  • In May of 2009, Triton College was selected to join the national student success initiative – Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count. The initiative includes more than 160 institutions in 30 states. Achieving the Dream is a non-governmentally funded multi-year national initiative to help more community college students succeed- particularly those students who traditionally face the most significant barriers to success including students of color and low-income. Achieving the Dream helps community colleges develop and implement a student-centered model of institutional improvement. The initiative provides a framework for systematically and objectively reviewing college policies, programs and services with regard to their impact on student success.

The college offered its first classes in September 1968. Since that date, it has served as an educational, vocational, and recreational center for residents of Community College District 520, an area encompassing all or part of Kankakee, Iroquois, Ford, Grundy, Livingston, and Will counties and serving a population of approximately 150,000.

College of Lake County

  • The College of Lake County is located in the far northeastern suburbs of Chicago, serving a district with the third largest population in the Illinois community college system—713,000 residents living in more than 50 demographically distinct communities. We have a diverse student body with more than 18,000 students in credit programs. Our major program areas include credit programs to prepare students for transfer or career entry, GED and adult basic education, non-credit offerings for personal or career development, and contract training and specialized services for businesses.

Lewis and Clark Community College
