Paramedic Training Schools

Lakeland Community College

  • Founded in 1967, Lakeland was the first college in Ohio founded by a vote of the people. As a community college, making higher education accessible is a priority. The college continues to develop programs and classes to meet the needs of students, employers and the community.

Lorain County Community College

  • Following the Truman Commission (1947) which established the need for community colleges to serve local GI’s who were returning from WWII, dedicated citizens in Lorain County, including the League of Women Voters, worked to establish a community college in Lorain County, Ohio. Lorain County Community College was granted a charter to serve Lorain County’s higher educational needs on July 15, 1963. 1964 – The citizens of Lorain County supported a 1.25 mil levy to fund their own community college with Max J. Lerner as the first president. That year, Lorain County Community College’s doors opened in 1964 for the very first semester.

Sinclair Community College

  • Sinclair’s academic excellence has been acknowledged on an ongoing basis by accolades from accrediting and higher education governing bodies. In 1989, Sinclair was selected for membership in the prestigious League for Innovation in the Community College, and, in 2001, became one of the League’s elite Vanguard Colleges.  “Vanguard” is a term designated by the League to recognize the top twelve two-year institutions in North America that focus constantly on student and learner access and success.

Southern State Community College

  • If you are from this area, you already know the aesthetic beauty of southern Ohio, the sense of pride in our community and the oh-so-friendly people. This is our legacy. If you don’t happen to be from this area, we welcome you!

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College

  • Cincinnati State Technical and Community College (www.cincinnatistate.edu) was chartered in 1969, and today offers more than 75 associate degree and 40 certificate programs in business technologies, health and public safety, engineering technologies, humanities and sciences and information technologies. Its main campus is in Clifton, with branch campuses in Evendale (the Workforce Development Center) and Harrison (an airport) and one tentatively scheduled to open in August 2012 in downtown Middletown. The College also maintains satellite operations at the Great Oaks Career Campuses and other locations across the region. Average class size is 16.3. Cincinnati State has one of the largest cooperative education programs in the United States.

University of Cincinnati, Clermont College

  • UC Clermont College is located in the center of Clermont County on 91 beautiful wooded acres in Batavia Township.  Opened in 1972, Clermont College is an accredited, open-access college offering more than 50 associate degrees and certificate programs. The college began offering a technical bachelor’s degree in the fall of 2011 – the Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Administration. The Applied Administration program is designed for people who already hold a technical associate degree, such as an Associate of Applied Science or an Associate of Applied Business (from a regionally accredited institution).

University of Cincinnati, Raymond Walters College

  • Conveniently located in Blue Ash is a regional campus of the University of Cincinnati – UC Blue Ash (UCBA). Located on 135 wooded acres in Blue Ash, UCBA serves residents of Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties. UCBA also works closely with the Blue Ash area workforce to assist with their training needs. Opened in 1967, UCBA offers more than 60 associate degree and certificate programs in a wide range of subjects, including several new degree tracks and certifications. The College also offers a Weekend Degree program.

Columbus State Community College

  • Columbus State provides Central Ohio residents the educational opportunities they need to get to the next phase of their career – whatever that may be. First, you can go here and get a two-year associate degree in a Career & Technical field, which qualifies you for a job immediately. Or, you can get an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science, which represents the first two years of a bachelor’s degree and you can transfer to another college. Third, we offer a variety of short-term training opportunities and continuing education through our Community Education and Workforce Development division.

University of Cincinnati Blu Ash College

  • Conveniently located not far from major interstates.
  • State-school tuition.
  • Open admission institution, providing access to higher education to anyone with a high school diploma or the equivalent.

Youngstown State University

  • Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
  • Over 100 undergraduate majors; ertificates, associate, bachelor’s degrees.
  • YSU offers the best tuition value among Ohio’s 11 largest public universities.

Cuyahoga Community College

  • Opened in 1963 as Ohio’s first community college.
  • Each semester Tri-C offers more than 1,000 credit courses in more than 140 career and technical programs and liberal arts curricula.
  • Tuition at Tri-C is the lowest in Northeast Ohio and among the lowest of all colleges in the state of Ohio.

Cincinnati State

  • A public, two-year college under the authority of the Ohio Board of Regents.
  • Offers more than 100 associate’s degree programs, majors, and certificate programs.
  • One of the largest cooperative education program among two-year colleges in the U.S.

Rhodes State College

  • A two-year, state-assisted institution located in Allen County in west-central Ohio.
  • Offers curricular programs that prepare students for transfer completion baccalaureate programs at selected colleges and universities.
  • Offers applied associates degrees and certificates in over ninety programs.

Eastern Gateway Community College

  • Embraces an open door admissions policy.
  • Delivers classes at seven locations throughout Columbiana, Jefferson, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties in eastern Ohio.
  • Offers associate degrees and certificates in dozens of career areas as well as the associate degree to transfer to a four-year institution.

University Of Toledo

  •  One of 13 state universities in Ohio.
  • Accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
  • One of the largest distance-learning programs in the nation.
