Paramedic & EMT Training Schools
- Formed in 1992, by a legislatively mandated merger of Greater Hartford Community College (founded in 1967) and Hartford State Technical College (founded as the Connecticut Engineering Institute in 1946). A comprehensive, open door, two-year urban institution located in the city of Hartford, the State Capital of Connecticut. CCC has enrolled about 263,000 students since 1969 and has awarded 12,622 degrees and Certificates.
- Goodwin College is a nonprofit organization and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Operating under an open-access model, Goodwin College seeks to admit all students who have academic potential, regardless of past performance. The College then supports these students with counseling and tutoring to help them succeed. As a result of this inclusive approach, Goodwin College is one of the most diverse colleges in the state, with over half of its students being the first in their families to pursue higher education.
- Norwalk Community College is the educational center of the community, providing opportunities for intellectual inquiry, open dialogue, multicultural awareness and lifelong learning. Recognizing the diverse needs of its students, the college strives to provide an environment in which they are empowered to achieve their highest potential. In addition, many individual programs are accredited by national professional associations including the Legal Assistant, Nursing, Respiratory Care and Engineering Technology Curricula. Credits earned at NCC are transferable to four-year colleges and universities.
