- Chartered in 1963, Sandhills Community College is a member of the North Carolina Community College System. It was the first comprehensive community college in North Carolina to offer a college transfer program. The College began classes in 1966. Both curriculum (college credit) and continuing education (non-credit) classes and programs are offered for individuals with varied educational needs and backgrounds using both traditional (classroom) settings and non-traditional instructional methods. Courses are taught day and evening throughout the year both on and off the main campus in Pinehurst, N.C.

Forsyth Technical Community College
- Forsyth Technical Community College provides students with exceptional technical education and training as well as college transfer, adult basic education, and continuing and corporate education programs to develop a globally competitive workforce. The college responds to student, employer and community needs with innovative, flexible programs and service delivery. Future plans include The Forsyth Tech Center for Emerging Technologies in Winston-Salem. The Center will provide training for technicians in biotechnology and nanotechnology to support the growing research and development efforts centered in this area. It will also train students in high performance computing and digital design. The Center will also house the College’s growing corporate training efforts.
Central Piedmont Community College

- Johnston Community College (JCC) has awarded associate’s degrees, certificates, and diplomas since 1969 to students pursuing college transfer, occupational, technical, and continuing education opportunities. A member of the North Carolina Community College System, JCC serves more than 15,000 students annually in its credit and non-credit programs. JCC in Smithfield, North Carolina, is located thirty miles east of Raleigh near the junction of I-95 and US 70. The 175-acre main campus boasts state-of-the-art facilities, picturesque pines, colorful azaleas and scenic ponds and offers more than 40 occupational programs of study as well as numerous continuing education courses.
Coastal Carolina Community College
